There’s too much going on right now. Problems came up with my Dad moving here. Let’s just say that Border Patrol gives me the worst stress ever no matter the country! Always has. Always will.

The photo of the astronaut in front of the earth with the sign “Fuck Your Racist Borders” comes to mind. There are almost 200 countries in the world, which means that people found 200 squared (40,000) reasons to hate each other. And you needed a TCK to tell you that. Funny. Not funny.

Yep. I’m in a bad TCK mood where I feel alone because problems with my lifestyle are unique.

I may be able to work on guest posts that I have promised, but I don’t know.

I don’t even feel up for reading other people’s posts right now, so bear with me, please! As much as I enjoy you all, I need a break.

If you want to chat with me personally, you can email me.

Talk to you all later!

  1. Borders are honestly so stupid. Hope thinks look better soon and don’t worry about not posting for a while or being active on other blogs. If you ever need to talk please feel free to reach out!

      1. I think all migrants have been trying to say that lol. Of course, reach out whenever you like especially if you’re stressed or something, always happy to chat 😊

      2. Yeah me too. It’s a sad reality. Maybe someday we’ll live in a world with no borders but with the way the world is right now it doesn’t seem likely.

      3. True. Although, there is some merit to security. It just has to be redefined. I mean, I certainly don’t want Americans running freely into Canada with guns or their far-right ideology

      4. Absolutely, I think we need to rethink what borders are and what they mean to us not get rid of them completely.

      5. Absolutely and guards should be punished more severely when they do something wrong. I have seen so many get off after doing awful and illegal things.

      6. Wow, I’m so sorry to hear that. It must be so tough for you especially since you have to cross borders more often than most people.

      7. I kid you not. When Dad didn’t make it, I nearly popped an Ativan. I have that for emergency use, and I know I need to carry it with me when I cross a border

      8. That’s really awful but yeah you do need something to calm your anxiety at such times. It’s good to have something with you just in case you need it.

      9. Yeah of course, I always travel with anti-anxiety meds too. I have a hard time with security at airports too because it always gives me anxiety.

  2. Long distance hug. Sorry to hear that you’re dealing with all these issues and stress with your dad moving here. Hopefully it’ll be resolved soon. It seems like Canada is a hot mess these days with a huge backlog of immigration applications, issuing passports, and everything else.

    1. Thank you. It’s going to take a while. I’m just so profoundly sad rn. And yeah, this darn backlog doesn’t help. Canadian bureaucracy needs to get its shit together

  3. So totally agree with you. I mean take Asian countries for example. A lot of borders were not drawn before WWII or not taken seriously. After that, borders were negotiated or drawn, which caused upheavals in local people’s life due to the lack of access to traditional resources and at least in one case, up to a million people lost their lives. And then hostilities came in. Finally, people found a new reasons to dislike each other.

  4. Remember that there is very little in this crazy life of ours that is under our control. Keep calm. Follow the official advice/instructions for resolving your situation and hold onto each other for support. You know how to reach me, if needed <3

    1. Thank you so much Rosaliene! At this point, we don’t even care about our stuff. We just want to be together. We are taking some mental health breaks and taking care of each other and ourselves. I’m glad I’m at the point I can laugh about it, even if my humour is rather dark at the moment πŸ’œ
