Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season and getting some time to relax!

Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays to you!

I’m definitely relaxing and having a bit of fun. I’m also taking advantage of more time to get my site ready for the changes I will be making in the new year!

As always, I’m constantly learning my craft and refining what I know about copywriting. I’ll also release my new copywriting website soon, so watch this space!

I hope you are all taking care of your emotional well-being. I know this is supposed to be a happy time of year, but it’s not always the case for everyone.

In fact, I learned something from a crisis counsellor who has worked on a crisis line. He said that calls to the crisis line go up exponentially at this time of year.

Basically, if people are dealing with life problems, and then they are forced into faking a smile during the holidays, it’s even more detrimental for them. It’s NOT okay to call someone Scrooge if they are struggling during the holiday season!

We can’t be happy all the time and life happens, even when it’s not the holiday season. Toxic positivity and forcing people to be happy and positive needs to stop!

To those of you who are struggling for whatever reason, I’m sending you lots of love. Just know you are not alone <3.

Sneak Peak:

My next post will be on New Year’s Eve, and that’s when my survey will close. I’ll be sharing the results then, as well as sharing reflections on the past year.

If you need a refresher on the changes I will be making, click here. If you want to leave feedback about the changes, you can fill out my survey here: https://forms.gle/yw9MSdZ2fhGdbiya8.

Here are the posts you can expect from me in January. I’m deliberately keeping things easy because of all these changes happening.

Since I just started writing about the trip back to the Bay Area, I’ll finish that. I also have 5 posts to write about my Parks Challenge.

Those posts are quick and easy and should extend into February and give me time to devote to my email list and copywriting gigs! I need to settle into a new routine.

So, whatever holidays you are celebrating, I hope you have a great time! Sending you lots of love regardless if this is a good time or a bad one.

Happy Holidays!

  1. Happy Holidays, hope you had a lovely Christmas. Unfortunately, the holidays can be tough for some so thanks for mentioning that we need to take care of our mental/emotional health too. Your problems don’t magically go away during the holidays and if someone is dealing with something it’s okay for them not to pretend to be happy. Toxic positivity doesn’t help anyone.

    1. So true. And some experiences change Christmas forever. I’m grateful for having a quiet, close-knit Christmas with my parents. This cracked rib has really taken a lot out of me. Hope you had a lovely Christmas too

  2. Happy holidays to you as well. Hope you had a merry Christmas yesterday and weren’t impacted by the crazy winter storm over the past few days. Glad to hear that you’re finding some time to relax and are getting ready for the new year.

    1. Thank you. We’re actually supposed to get one heck of a rain the next few days. I have been missing snow this season. Hope things are going well on your end and you had a lovely Christmas!

      1. After all this snow we’re actually supposed to be getting some heavy rain as well later in the week. Stay dry out there! We’ve had four days of family gatherings in a row. I’ve forgotten what it feels like to be hungry. I’m looking forward to having a quiet day today, which will be a nice change of pace.

    1. Definitely, and also be more compassionate to others. After all, the holiday season should be about community and I hate that it has a toxic positivity side. Thanks for commenting πŸ™‚
