I moved to Canada one year ago!
To all my followers, I want to say thank you for following my journey! It’s been an absolute pleasure to share my experiences with all of you!
Speaking of sharing my experiences, I am still on a hiatus right now. I am dealing with a family emergency. My mother got appendicitis and things are going to be a hot mess for while. So, if I don’t comment on your posts, you know why. To those of you for who I have said I will do guest posts, I will email you soon.
I am going to do a post in the future about dealing with emergencies when you live in another country. Plus, I have some other posts planned. Yes, this emergency means I am on a hiatus from my Calgary Parks Challenge as well.
I will celebrate my one year in Canada later on, but I am still taking a moment to celebrate! To those of you who know about my mother, thank you for all your support!
speedy recovery to your mom.
Thank you for your kind wishes π
Congratulations! Howβs your mom doing?
Thank you. She had a rare complication and I had to get my Dad to fly in from California to help. She is out of danger, but the recovery will be slow
Hope the emergency gets cleared up!
Thank you!
It certainly does go fast! Thank you for your kind words. I certainly have got a lot of love during this time π
So far, so good, apparently; due to circumstances, you haven’t been able to see much this year, but I’ve noticed that you’re interested in everything Canadian. Even without much direct experience, you know a lot more after a year. Best wishes for your mother’s recovery.
That’s very true. I can’t wait to see more of Canada! Thank you for your kind wishes π
That’s so great- I hope you’re loving it here! I’m so sorry to hear about your mother I hope she feels better soon.
I do love it here, thanks. Thanks for your kind wishes π
Congrats on your one-year Canadian anniversary. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year. Hope you’re enjoying your time here so far. P.S. Sorry to hear that your mum hasn’t fully recovered. Hope she gets well soon.
It is surreal that it’s been a year. Thanks for your kind wishes. She had a complication and is back in the hospital for a while
I’m sorry to hear that. It’s never fun to be in the hospital. I imagine even less so these days during COVID.
It’s a tough situation indeed, but at least Mum is being well looked after
*Long distance hug*
*Long distance hug back* thank you!
Congratulation. I still remember the day when I read your post about moving to Canada. It seems that you and your mother have grown and thrived in your new home. I imagine it is the part of Canada that speaks French. How fascinating. Yes, tell us more about your life there. And sorry to hear about your mother’s appendicitis. I hope she recovers well after the surgery.
It’s been a great experience. It’s not the area that exclusively speaks French, but it was originally settled by the French and you still see that. Thank you for your kind wishes π
Ahh that’s amazing! Time sure flies! I hope your mom gets well soon π
Time really does fly when you’re having fun! Thank you for your kind wishes π
Yeah! Of course!
Happy Canaversary. Glad you are here and hope your mother gets well soon. Allan
I love that! I’m stealing your term Canaversary π. Thank you for your lovely wishes. It’s certainly a bear!
I can’t believe that one year has gone by since your move to Canada. One year and you’re already being tested. Sending your mother best wishes for her recovery <3
I can’t believe it either. Thank you very much π€π
